Wyoming

If you are ready to enjoy the amazing hunting opportunities available throughout the forests, mountains, and plains in Wyoming, make sure you are equipped with the necessary knowledge and licensing to participate. The state hunting seasons are divided by hunting zones, the game hunted, and the weaponry used.

To hunt in Wyoming, all persons must have a species-specific hunting license, a yearly conservation stamp, and proof of hunter safety course completion. Hunters may apply for a limited quota for game, preference points, special draws, and the Super Tag raffle. Hunters may purchase raffles for Wyoming big and trophy game. If chosen, they may hunt in any open area for their selected species.

Additional licenses and stamps are available for archery and special game permits. Hunters may only collect antlers or horns, hunt, trap, or fish on private property with permission from the landowner as well as the landowner’s signature on the hunter’s license. Hunters of big and trophy game are required to wear at least one visible fluorescent orange/pink garment when hunting. This is highly recommended for game birds and small game as well.
