Rhode Island

Just because Rhode Island is the smallest U.S. state doesn’t mean the hunting is anything to overlook. If you want to enjoy all the game Rhode Island offers, you must obey the rules and regulations. All hunters must obtain a hunting license and complete a hunter education safety course

Hunters between the ages of 12 and 14 may purchase junior hunting licenses, allowing them to hunt under the supervision of a licensed hunter over the age of 21. Depending on the intended species, hunters may have to apply for an additional hunting lottery or license. For example, those who wish to hunt deer must apply for the hunting lottery.

Even the most experienced hunters should refresh their knowledge of the rules and regulations of the state annually as they may have changed. For example, there is no longer a special sea bird hunting season, which is the same as the duck season. Additionally, specific season dates tend to vary from year to year. Therefore, it is wise to check the dates to avoid potential problems while trying to enjoy your time hunting.
