Pennsylvania

Hunting is a great pastime in Pennsylvania. However, there are rules and regulations in place to ensure that everything stays safe and humane. What can you expect trying to get your hunting license in Pennsylvania?

For first-time hunters and trappers, you must take a Hunter-Trapper Education course and pass a test. This program can be completed either online or at a designated location in the state. The online program has a fee when you pass the test, and the test is taken at the physical location if you choose to go through the process in person. After you have this completed, it’s time to purchase a hunting license either online or in-person at an approved license-issuing agent.

It’s important to note that some licenses and permits are not available online. Specifically, the Antlerless Deer Licenses and the permits for Hunters & Trappers with Disabilities. Both of these must be completed only with country treasurers.
