Florida

When it comes to the Sunshine State, there are several rules and regulations hunters must follow to stay on the right side of state and federal law. Eligible Florida residents and non-residents may purchase license packages from gooutdoorsflorida.com for hunting authorization purposes.

The Florida Sportsman package, which is available for Florida residents, includes four licenses/permits: Migratory Bird Permit, Hard Card, Gold Sportsman, and Federal Duck Stamp. This package authorizes the holder to take, or attempt to take, turkey, deer, waterfowl, and migratory birds.

On the other hand, the Waterfowl Hunter package focuses specifically on waterfowl and migratory birds. This less expensive package includes a hunting license with Waterfowl, Management Area, and Migratory Bird Permits as well as a Federal Duck Stamp.

As for when game can be hunted, seasons differ between Zones A, B, C, and D across the state. Refer to this Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FFWC) map to see where each zone is located.
